Hunter Valley Operations HVO is located on the asymmetric southerly plunging Bayswater Syncline. The Auckland area is located on the western flank of the Camberwell Anticline and dips more steeply than the western limb of the Bayswater Syncline. The West Pit is located on the eastern flank of the Muswellbrook Anticline.

Welcome to Ravensworth Operations. Ravensworth Open Cut mine is located in the NSW Hunter Valley, between the towns of Muswellbrook and Singleton. It incorporates the open cut mine and the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant. The mine is a Joint Venture between Itochu 10% and Glencore 90%.
Thiess first began mining at Mount Pleasant as scheduled on 20 November 2017, following a successful five-month mobilisation period. Located 2.5km from Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley, New South Wales, the Mount Pleasant Operation is a greenfield open cut coal mine with an estimated 474 million tonnes of reserves to be mined.
May 07, 2020· Hunter Valley Operations has been ordered to pay $400,000 to environmental improvement projects following a water pollution incident at Singleton last year. The pollution was a result of rainfall runoff from a rehabilitation slope at the Lemington Road mine being discharged into an adjacent waterway which flows into the Hunter River.
